In 2022, Zhejiang's Export Contribution Rate Ranks First in The Country

According to the introduction of the press conference on the import and export of Zhejiang Province in 2022 held by Hangzhou Customs, the import and export scale of Zhejiang Province hit a new record in 2022. According to statistics, the province's import and export amounted to 4.68 trillion yuan, up 13.1% over the previous year. Among them, exports reached 3.43 trillion yuan, up 14%; Import was 1.25 trillion yuan, up 10.7%. The contribution rate of exports to national growth reached 18.5%, ranking first in the country; The contribution rates of import and export and import growth were 18.0% and 16.3% respectively, ranking the second in the country.
From the perspective of trade market, the development of emerging markets is strong, and the market layout of Zhejiang Province continues to be optimized. In 2022, there are 235 countries (regions) with import and export trade in Zhejiang. Among them, the import and export to the top three trading markets, the EU, the United States and ASEAN, respectively accounted for 15.9%, 13.9% and 13.8% of the total import and export value of Zhejiang Province. Import and export to ASEAN, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa all maintained double-digit growth, with growth of 19.6%, 39.3%, 14.4% and 21.2% respectively. Over the same period, imports and exports to countries along the "the Belt and Road" reached 1.73 trillion yuan, up 21.3%; Import and export to other members of RCEP reached 1.17 trillion yuan, up 12.5%.
From the perspective of market entities, the number of foreign trade operators has exceeded 100000 for the first time, and the vitality of enterprises has been further enhanced. In 2022, there were 102000 import and export enterprises with achievements in Zhejiang, an increase of 5.9% over 2021. Among them, the import and export value of private enterprises reached 3.67 trillion yuan, an increase of 16.9%, accounting for 78.3% of the total import and export value of the province, an increase of 2.5 percentage points, and driving the growth of the province's foreign trade by 12.8 percentage points. During the same period, the import and export of foreign-funded enterprises amounted to 669.37 billion yuan, up 1.0%, accounting for 14.3%, while the import and export of state-owned enterprises amounted to 342.74 billion yuan, up 2.1%, accounting for 7.3%. The import and export of national "specialized and special" enterprises reached 97.44 billion yuan, up 15.5%, 2.4 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate.
From the perspective of commodity structure, the transformation and upgrading are accelerating, and the export proportion of high-tech and self-owned brand products continues to increase. In 2022, Zhejiang Province exported 345.36 billion yuan of high-tech products, an increase of 26.8%, 12.8 percentage points higher than the whole, and its share in the province's exports increased by 1.1 percentage points to 10.1%, exceeding 10% for the first time. New energy products, such as solar cells and electric passenger cars, grew rapidly by 1.1 times and 1.7 times respectively. The export of the province's self-owned brand products reached 544.12 billion yuan, up 24.0%, accounting for 15.9% of the total export value, up 1.3 percentage points from 2021, and has increased for four consecutive years
